A little Ohio Valley nostalgia...

When I was a child growing up in Steubenville, I remember seeing Norman Elder , the Castle Keeper from Chiller Theater around town. He would drive around in his Volkswagen Thing, and I thought it was the coolest vehicle I had ever seen!

I can still picture it today. Every time I saw him cruising through town in that Volkswagen Thing, I was fascinated. Ever since then, I've wanted one of my own. It's amazing how a simple childhood memory can stay with you for a lifetime.

For those of us who grew up in the Ohio Valley, Norman Elder wasn't just a character on television—he was part of our community. Those are the kinds of memories that make me smile every time I think about them.

Does anyone else remember seeing Norman driving his Volkswagen Thing around Steubenville? Or am I the only one who thought it was the coolest ride in town? I'd love to hear your memories!

🇺🇸 A Purchase I'm Really Happy With! 🇺🇸

I picked up these flag poles and American flags from Amazon, and I couldn't be happier with them!
I haven't had time to permanently screw the poles into place yet, so they're currently zip-tied—and they're still holding up great. The quality exceeded my expectations. The flag material feels durable, and I absolutely love that the stars are beautifully embroidered instead of simply printed.
