Meet our next charity partner: Philabundance.

Philabundance was founded in 1984 with the simple belief that no one should go hungry while healthy food goes to waste. Their mission is to drive hunger from our communities today and to end hunger for good. Through their work with agency partners and local organizations (like Philadelphia Flyers and Gritty), they're able to provide food to people who need it. In addition to food distribution, they strive to reduce food waste, increase access to nutritious meals, and tackle the root causes of hunger through programs such as the Philabundance Community Kitchen.

Today through Thursday, November 25, we're donating 25% of all ticket sales (up to $2,500!) to Philabundance. Check out our story to learn more about their work, and visit our website to purchase your tickets: https://bit.ly/3EcLCvF

Meet the team! By day, he's a teacher. By the weekend, he's one of Founding Footsteps favorite tour guides. Casey joined the Founding Footsteps family this year and serves as one of the guides for our Philly Fables Walking Tour.

When asked why people should choose Founding Footsteps, Casey says, "Founding Footsteps is as intimate as you can get: family-owned and run by people who love Philly. Unlike the bigger bus companies and tours, you get an experience that allows you to meet amazing people from around the country and world, while simultaneously having a personal experience that allows you to ask questions and have wonderful conversations with each other."

Check out our story to learn more about Casey and his love for Philadelphia, and visit our website to learn more about our walking tour: https://bit.ly/3EcLCvF

As many of you know, the holiday season is near and dear to our hearts. Not only is it a time to gather together and celebrate with friends and family, but it's a time to give back. This month, we'll be partnering with five local charities by donating a portion of ticket sales to support their work.

Our charity partner this week is Run Proud. Run Proud is a personal fundraising endeavor launched by Kedzie Teller to support the q***r community and LGBTQI+ resources. First launched in 2018, Run Proud began at the Portland Marathon in Maine with an emphasis on promoting q***r visibility as the key to fighting homophobia and transphobia in sports. It has since become a repeatable fundraising program dedicated to amplifying the missions of various q***r nonprofits, including Philadelphia's own Mazzoni Center, while sticking to its core mission of encouraging visibility and pride for all who identify as part of the LGBTQI+ community. Run Proud Philly, which is Kedzie's third marathon training season, seeks to fundraise a minimum of $7,500 on behalf of the Mazzoni Center, Athlete Ally, and Gay Games.

Today through Thursday, November 4, we're donating 25% of all ticket sales (up to $2,500!) to Run Proud. Check out our story to learn more about their work, and visit our website to purchase your tickets: https://bit.ly/3EcLCvF

With Halloween right around the corner, we present you with a ghastly graveyard fact. Did you know, Betsy Ross was married three times AND buried three different times: first at a Quaker burial ground, then moved to Mount Moriah Cemetery before a final move to the courtyard adjacent to the Betsy Ross House. There is a lot of debate as to which one is worse. ๐Ÿ‘ป ๐Ÿ’€ ๐Ÿ˜‚
