The "iMPeRFeCT Gallery is a not-for-profit alternative art space dedicated to the voice of the artist as of May, 2017.

iMPeRFeCT Gallery has a new location at 5539 Germantown Ave. Founded by Renny Molenaar and Rocio Cabello, the iMPeRFeCT Gallery was created with the intention and hope of becoming a voice in our community and in the ongoing conversation with the art world. Our approach to this work is that of facilitator, where artists of very different persuassions can present themselves and their work with as mu

ch freedom as possible. Our programing will include monthly exhibitions, performances and other events; it is also our intention to bring art out of the gallery, with the creation of works in public places, the publishing of limited edition prints and an active presence on the Internet. We as artists strongly believe in the transformative powers that the arts bring to our lives, we want to share that experience and inspire action and change.

THE iMPeRFeCT YEAR IN REVIEW
While moving things around at recently, we came across our very first signing book from 2012. We couldn’t NOT browse through it! The first pages totally warmed our hearts, reading lovely wishes and sentiments from friends and neighbors, sent us down memory lane… and we thought of our first exhibitions, our first Last Suppers, poetry readings, Rumbas etc. and the hunger/enthusiasm of the community that welcomed us with open arms. We couldn’t help but feel proud of how much we have done since then, with the support of our thriving artistic community in our beautiful thriving Germantown. We wanted to build a safe place for artists to speak to the world, a place where you could push the envelope, a place for people to connect to each other. And you know what?? We did all of that, and with your help, we’re STILL doing it!! While reviewing the year in photos we realized just how far all those wishes and sentiments went, how they fueled us, and against all odds we are still here!

At the end of this month, we will close unlock Key, 2023’s last exhibition, the walls will be a blank canvas again and we are giddy for what the future might bring, the possibilities are endless!!! This has been a magical wild ride, if you would like to be a part of this journey and give iMPeRFeCT more staying power, please contribute what you can to help us reach the $20,000 goal of our End of Year campaign, any amount is good, collectively it goes a long way. COAT DRIVE starting tomorrow!

is partnering with and who work hand in hand with local creatives to bring events to the city of Philadelphia that cater to giving local musicians, artists, DJs, vendors, and local businesses exposure and a platform to express themselves in a safe environment. They are now embarking on a new effort to create more community events that raise funds to directly empower Philadelphia youth.

This year they are launching their second annual coat drive. We are excited to to start collecting coat for families in need the winter.

Beginning this Friday drop off of coats every Friday between Noon-5pm at .

Dec 16th we will be distributing the coats out at iMPeRFeCT Gallery, coats that don’t receive a home that day will be going to local shelters.

Time to go through those closets!!

cannot stress this enough, the best way to ensure we have art in the world is by supporting living artists by buying their art. You are getting a little piece of someone’s heart, you’re buying yourself the pleasure of living with something that makes you feel alive PLUS you’re buying them a little more time to make more and benefit our world. Lots of people make assumptions about the artist life, few know the struggle, it takes a lot of courage…

Most artworks in the gallery are for sale, so if you like something, just ask to see the price list, there’s a wiiide range of prices but you'll be surprised how affordable and rewarding living with art can be, while helping artists and your neighborhood gallery thrive. You don't have to become a serious collector, just get one piece a year, you'll see… it will make a difference all around.

Our Story

iMPeRFeCT Gallery has a new location at 5539 Germantown Ave. as of May, 2017. Founded by Renny Molenaar and Rocio Cabello, the iMPeRFeCT Gallery was created with the intention and hope of becoming a voice in the community and in the ongoing conversation with the art world. Our approach to this work is that of facilitator, where artists of very different persuasions can present themselves and their work with as much freedom as possible. Our programing will include monthly exhibitions, performances and other events; it is also our intention to bring art out of the gallery, with the creation of works in public places, the publishing of limited edition prints and an active presence on the Internet. We as artists strongly believe in the transformative powers that the arts bring to our lives, we want to share that experience and inspire action and change.
