Since we met at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in the late 1970’s, my dear friend Kurt Solmssen, has transformed the places of his life into images of light, calm and peace. Gazing upon his paintings, your heart may skip a beat as when you see a person of particular beauty, but your mind will find rest.
For those who knew Oliver Grimley who I had my freshmen year at PAFA, did he do silver point drawing?
Fellow alum, I'm sharing an opportunity for part time paid gallery directorship at our artist collective in Brooklyn. If you know of anyone qualified living in NY who works in arts administration or wants a chance to, please pass along!
Cheers and be well, in solidarity.

Does anyone know if Alumni can draw in the cast hall at any time? Possible to bring a friend?

-=Looking for Figure Models=-
Abington Art Center will have a brand new figure drawing class in January and we are looking for potential models to reach out to. Specifically, we looking to make our expanded model list more diverse. If you know of any models that can work near the Jenkintown area, please PM me! Thank you all 😁
PAFA has been hosting a series of artist curated shows on the 2nd floor of the Hamilton building. I have filmed shows curated by artists Patrick Connors and Scott Noel. There is a different insight that artists can bring, they understand first hand how art is made. Plus it has been a great showcase of regional talent. The latest is a show on landscape put together by Doug Martenson. I urge PAFA to continue these wonderful shows.
