The Motion Picture Hall of Fame is also a permanent tribute to Hollywood's glory and its magical, timeless appeal to audiences around the globe. The Motion Picture Hall of Fame will serve as a standing memorial and a place to educate future generations; an icon dedicated to the heritage of this uniquely American art form.
Mission: Develop a world-class Hall of Fame dedicated to preserving, honoring, and commemorating those movies, actors, actresses, writers, directors, producers and film scores, which have excelled and had a profound impact on the motion picture industry and its art form. Create for the public an educational, yet highly entertaining atmosphere in which to view biographical information, artifacts, and memorabilia. Produce and market an Annual television Induction Special - "The Motion Picture Hall of Fame Honors" - to serve as a capstone to the Hall of Fame's programs. Market this Hall of Fame and its programs to the public in an authentic, comprehensive form which will prove profitable to the investors, the partners, and their employees.

The Board of Directors of The Motion Picture Hall of Fame Holding Company, Inc. today announced they have secured a long term lease on a building and will build the Motion Picture Hall of Fame in Palm Springs at 296 South Palm Canyon Drive. Projected opening is November 2016.
Each year new inductees to the Motion Picture Hall of Fame will be the focus of an annual TV Honors Special and celebration. The two hour televised induction ceremony will be titled " Motion Picture Hall of Fame Honors". All inductees will be selected and voted on by the highest authorities in the industry, the fans and movie goers themselves, stated Paula Monahan, Director. Each year two films, two actors, two actresses, one producer , one director and one film score will be inducted.
Los Angeles based MammothVision, Inc. will do the build out and design all exhibits George Johnsen has designed many exhibits around the world , including being a key member of design teams contributing to every aspect of the experience on numerous highly-celebrated theme park attractions -- including King Kong and the Earthquake for Universal Studios, Hollywood; Ghostbusters, The Hanna Barbera Jetsons/Flintstones Adventure, and Alfred Hitchcock - The Art of Making Movies for Universal Studios, Florida; Cranium Command for EPCOT Center, Walt Disney World; The Boy From Mars for the Kennedy Space Center; RoboCop; The Ride for Running W Productions/Iwerks, Armageddon: The Ride for Euro Disney and Hershey's 3-D Really Big Show for Hershey Theme Park. Johnsen has recently produced Star Trek: Voyager Borg Encounter for Paramount Properties. Additionally, he recently oversaw special effects and animation production for Edward Fudwupper Fibbed Big, a fully CGI theatrical short for Nickelodeon and the digitally animated feature film Foodfight! Most recently the company has embarked on a series of high profile jobs including producing content for the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas and the concert movie; "John Fogerty, Coming Down the Road, A Story of Revival", stated Marilyn Ball , the company's Vice President and Secretary.
Industry legend, Bob Masterson and his company will manage the day to day operations. Bob was the long time head man at Ripley`s Entertainment and their more than 70 leisure businesses in a dozen countries, and is himself a member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Hall of Fame. As the 88th Hall of Fame inductee in the association's 97 year history, he joined the likes of Walt Disney and P. T. Barnum. Masterson projects that the Motion Picture Hall of Fame will become one of Southern California's premier attractions.
The company has assembled a blue ribbon panel of show business veterans to serve on the advisory board and nomination committee.
In over 100 years of film making there has never been a Motion Picture Hall of Fame stated Michael Brausen, Vice President of International Marketing and Executive Producer of the "Motion Picture Hall of Fame Honors" television show. Our goal is to both honor and preserve the " all time " greatest accomplishments in the history of motion pictures.
"We are currently offering the naming rights on the building", stated Bob Alexander the company's President.

The Board of Directors of the Motion Picture Hall of Fame Holding Company has announced that Palm Springs will be the home of the Motion Picture Hall of Fame with a projected opening scheduled for November of 2016.
