So excited to announce that we will be photographing the beautiful Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon, PA the last week of the month! I am so excited to share this place with you guys! 😁💗

There’s something incredibly special about stepping inside a church that has spent generations serving its community. ⛪✨

Today I’m sharing the interior of St. Paul's Lutheran Church — a place filled not only with beautiful architecture and craftsmanship, but with music, fellowship, history, and heart.

One piece of history that I found interesting was that the Ascension window in the main Sanctuary has been covered on the inside, but not on the outside. Apparently many years ago the congregation voted to cover the Ascension window, because, the sunlight coming in was so disturbing and distracting to the partitioners that they asked if it could be covered. It wasn't covered on the outside which still led to the aesthetic that there is a glass window interior! They shared old pictures of the sanctuary where the Ascension window was uncovered, and I can absolutely see why they would want that covered! I shared this as the first picture, so take a look at what the original Ascension window looked like!

They have an incredible painting that was donated by a congregation member, in their Fellowship parlor. It was a recreation of an incredible Church altar picture in Denmark, and it is an incredible replica depiction. Absolutely took my breath away when I saw it!

From the glowing stained glass and symbolic details honoring the apostles, to the incredible Schantz pipe organ with its 929 pipes, every corner of this church tells a story. The church is also home to a SATB choir, a 4-octave handbell choir, free community concerts throughout the year, and a newly renovated fellowship hall that continues to bring people together. 🎶

St Paul's offers an incredible space in their basement that they use for community events and rent out to for private parties ! I've included a bunch of those pictures because the space is absolutely lovely! It can hold approx 70+ people and is incredibly beautiful!!

Another detail I especially loved learning about was their Steinway grand piano, donated by local music teacher Ruth Barr, and how deeply music has become woven into the life of this church and community. 😁🙏❤️

What stood out most to me while photographing this space was how welcoming and community-centered St. Paul’s truly is. From outreach ministries and annual soup sales helping those in need, to hosting local groups and gatherings, this is clearly more than just a church building — it’s a living part of Orwigsburg’s story. ❤️

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to document and share places like this. Thank you to the congregation members that showed up with the welcoming committee! That was a first and I loved getting to meet all of you! Thank you to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for allowing me to capture the beauty and spirit found within these walls. 📸

St. Matthew Episcopal Church. ⛪✨

While driving through Sunbury, we couldn’t help but admire this absolutely beautiful historic church standing proudly along Front Street. From the incredible architecture to the character you can feel even from the outside, this is definitely one of those places that immediately catches your eye.

We’ve recently learned that the roots of this congregation stretch back more than 200 years, and honestly, that just makes it even more fascinating to us. The detail, the craftsmanship, and the history behind places like this are exactly why we love photographing historic churches so much. ❤️

For now, this is just a quick “drive by” exterior photos — but we would absolutely LOVE the opportunity to visit and photograph the interior someday as well! We’ve heard the inside is just as breathtaking, especially the beautiful stained glass and woodwork.

So here’s hoping we might someday get the chance to step inside and capture more of the story of this incredible Sunbury landmark. 📸✨

This place really felt special. 📸⛪

After months of excitedly waiting, and going through council approval, we finally had the opportunity to photograph St. Paul's Lutheran Church — and honestly, it was worth every second of the wait!! We walk by this beautiful church every single day and I have sat in the garden many times, thinking.

Before I share the interior tomorrow, I wanted to give a little sneak peek of the exterior beauty of this incredible church. Walking around it with my camera, I kept noticing how every angle seemed to tell its own story — the stonework, the towering steeple, the way the light wrapped around the building like it knew this place had stood through generations of prayers, weddings, funerals, baptisms, and all the moments in between! I am so excited to share the stories I was told, the history I learned, and dive deeper into this beautiful place with you!!

I’m genuinely so happy with how these turned out, and I cannot wait to share what’s inside these walls tomorrow. The church family I met was so welcoming and kind, and the interior absolutely took my breath away. ❤️
