It’s another reminder that SASProductions LLC is moving in the right direction — building an independent studio rooted in lived experience, cultural storytelling, and long-term ownership.

Film Florida highlighted our journey as twin brothers living with sickle cell anemia, the impact of Blood Bond: A Twins’ Journey with Sickle Cell, and the broader vision behind SASProductions as we continue building our slate, our distribution ecosystem, and the studio behind the stories.

As founders, we know we’re still early.
But moments like this matter.

They remind us that the work is being seen.
That the story is resonating.
And that we’re building something real.

Two festival nods. One story.

Blood Bond: A Twins’ Journey with Sickle Cell has been selected for the Liberty Films International Film Festival — Best Short Documentary, screening June 12, 2026 in Athens. 🇬🇷

This comes on the heels of the G.L.O.W. Film Festival 2025 — where the film was both an Official Selection AND took home the Audience Choice Award. That one meant the world to us because it came from the audience itself.

Blood Bond is our story — twin brothers born with sickle cell anemia, growing up navigating a disease that affects an estimated 100 million people globally yet rarely makes it to screen. We made it through SASProductions LLC, our Orlando-based studio, with the goal of putting sickle cell into the cultural conversation in a way it deserves.

He didn't tell his brother anything. He just started the business and included him, making it a twin venture. His brother was surprised but grateful for the initiative. Sometimes, the best opportunities come unexpectedly.

Not enough of our stories are being told. SFS Production wants to be a powerhouse in the independent film world, working with amazing filmmakers from our community to get those stories out there. They even won an award for their Sickle Cell film!
