years and her subject matters are inspired by nature and the sense of humor that life has to offer. Though she started with watercolors, she now enjoys pastels, acrylics and mixed media. Her subject matter ranges from the beaches of Florida to the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona. In addition to her landscapes Sally loves animals and creates whimsical works inspired by dogs, cats, horses and any other creature that catches her fancy. Sally received two of the top five awards in the International Society of Acrylic Painters Juried Exhibitions in 2005 and 2007. Her paintings “Donkey Drool” and “What’s Up?” were awarded the prestigious M. Graham & Company Merchandise Award. Her painting “Southwestern Moon” was exhibited at the prestigious Salmagundi Club with the Pastel Society of America juried exhibition 2008 in New York, New York. Sally’s paintings have been exhibited at international juried shows, galleries and museums, all over the United States and her work is collected by a varied group of corporations including Tampa Bay Magazine, US Airways Club at the Tampa International Airport, The St. Joe Company, Coca Cola Corporation, Chili’s Corporation, and Walker and Company Inc. In Spring 2011 Sally was the featured artist of The New Barker magazine with her painting of “Bella and Bentley”. Her lithographs have appeared in the television show Nip/Tuck and the movies American Dreamz and Shock and Awe. I love working w this company!!!❤️🪡 Thank you !!!

There is no missing Lizzie the Longhorn when she is in the room!

This design by Blue Waters artist Sally Evans is one of the most vibrant canvases in our collection. We worked very closely with Sally and our painting team to ensure the intricate patterns on the horns and the bold background colors were perfect. She is a piece that demands attention and provides a fun challenge for any stitcher.

I’m so happy to be working w this company!
Repost from

We are excited to introduce work from Sally Evans, a Florida-based painter whose bold use of color and expressive style is available exclusively through Blue Waters Needlepoint.

Sally has been a full-time painter since the early ‘90s, working in pastels, acrylics, and mixed media. Her work has been exhibited nationally (she is a signature member of several national painting societies) and internationally through the US State Department’s Art and Embassies Program.

What makes her designs work so well as canvases is the way she uses color. Whether it is animals, florals, or landscapes, there’s movement and personality in every piece.
