Thank to all that came out to the first Reading Ranger of the year and to the Ranger led tracking program, it was a great day. Thank you Ocala-Living for the great photos, and thank you to our Reading with a Ranger partners Marion County Public Library System - FL and Early Learning Coalition of Marion County Inc for all the support.

I had been meaning to ask how they planned to do the tracking program at Tuscawilla Park like they did at Fort King which was really cool. The secret was they couldn't do it the same way. Here it was more of a flash card activity.

Thank you Ocala-Living for the great photos. We truly appreciate when you come and take these pictures. It's hard for us to get photos when we are doing programs, nontheless good quality photos. Thank you!

Registration for Summer Shorts: Bee Life will begin on May 1st. Learn about Natures gentle pollinators and create your own recycled bee house!

Mason Bees are gentle and are the least likely to sting out of all the bee species. This is a great program for those who are allergic to bees but would still like to help protect our pollinators.

Thank you all that came out to the Commission Reenactment yesterday, and huge thank you to all the City, County, and Partner Groups that came together to make this special event possible. History truly comes alive Fort King National Historic Landmark and Visitor Center. As always thank you Ocala-Living for taking great pictures and for being such civic participants.

The first Marion County board meeting was reenacted in the same spot as it first occurred. Well, you know, in the area of as this is the third Fort King built, but assuming the main building was in the middle of the fort this would be really close to the spot. Part of this week's celebration of Marion County's 175th anniversary.
