At The Wright Stuff you can fly various types of aircraft, or race various class of cars. We have eight flight stations that are networked together so everyone can fly with or against one another, or fly around the TRIAD in a Cessna 172 flight trainer and try your hand at landing on a runway, the choice is yours. Finally, we have racing again at The Wright Stuff. We have 4 networked stations with force feedback and head tracking abilities. Nothing fancy, just fun for the family and friends at a reasonable price. You can drive NASCAR 2003 or Stock Car Extreme (SCE). There are many NASCAR tracks to choose from and cars of famous drives too. With SCE you can drive Go-Karts, Mini Coopers, Cameros, V-8's, Formulas, etc, etc.

We offer a safe place for a birthday party for ages 10+. Fun for bachelor parties too! You can order pizza from local vendors or bring your own stuff to eat. We have 8 flight stations and room for a few spectators to sit and watch. It's also a fun place for family time.

Our Story

The Wright Stuff is a flight sim center for edutainment in North Carolina where you can experience the thrill of an aerial dogfight (air to air combat) without ever leaving the ground, or fly around the Piedmont in a Cessna 172 with your friends, and learn something at the same time.

You can experience the thrill of taking off and landing on a WWII aircraft carrier or dodging anti-aircraft fire as you engage a convoy transporting supplies to the front and live to talk about it with friends. It’s an experience you won’t forget, and you’ll realize how difficult it must have been for the pilots, because in reality, they didn’t have unlimited ammo and fuel with the option of selecting easy mode with rookie opponents.

Flying WWII missions in Virtual Reality is an awesome experience too. The immersion is spectacular.

On the lighter side you can take off from Winston-Salem airport and fly to Mt. Airy and then to Greensboro within an hours flight. You may even have time to fly back to Winston-Salem if you fly a straight course. parties, team building events, and bachelor parties.

I spent an hour here this morning and it was my first time flying a sim, I was really impressed with the personal attention. Stuart was really fantastic and the whole experience was first class. This is a ton of fun and I'll sure be back. Highly recommended. Oh, and the VR experience is spectacular!
The N.C. Transportation Museum's Wind & Wings: The Science of Flight is THIS WEEKEND! Friday, more than 1000 school students and home schoolers will attend. Saturday, the public is welcome to experience an event that will include helicopter fly-ins and a tethered hot air balloon (weather permitting), flight simulators from The Wright Stuff - Flight Simulation Center, RC aircraft, Wright Brothers expert Darrel Collins, Leslie Goddard Presents Amelia Earhart, a closer look at flight tracking technology with SAS Analytics, and of course, special tours and programs surrounding the Piedmont Airlines DC3 - the Potomac Pacemaker.
