I just arrived back in Brooklyn from a wonderful two week trip to Madrid and Berlin just in time to participate in Park Slope/Windsor Terrace Art Group's Open Studio Weekend. I just finished this mural in the Nu Hotel in downtown Brooklyn. The hotel commissioned different artists to paint each of their Deluxe King rooms.
The official title is "A Delusional Dog Arriving in Brooklyn" and the mural accurately represents the Brooklyn skyline as of March 1, 2024. Ask for the "Jonathan Blum" room next time you need one.

I'll be participating in the GOWANUS OPEN STUDIOS, this Sat and Sun, Oct 21– 22, 12 – 6pm. I'll be set up at King Killer Studio at 100 8th Street, Brooklyn with artists from the Park Slope/Windsor Terrace Art Group. More than 350 artists and over 70 venues will open their doors.

I'm hosting Park Slope's best block party. The 5th Ave Art Stroll which is happening this Saturday, June 3, 12-8pm between 1st and 3rd Street. There will be over 25 artists and craftspeople, drinks, food, and local bands playing music all day. Come early, stay late.
This portrait was painted in honor of Alfred (2004-2012), a beloved and holy dog who lived in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Goodbye New Orleans. What a wonderful couple of weeks it has been! Here's my "Peace Offering (Rabbi with Gumballs) mural that's in the Marigny neighborhood on St. Roch and Chartres. I first painted it in 1995 and then, because of Hurricane Katrina, I repainted it in 2009. I'm thinking that it might need a touch up soon which I would happily do. I'll basically take any excuse to get back here.

I'm selling at the Bethesda Row Arts Festival this Saturday, Oct 8th, 11-6pm and Sunday, Oct 9th, 10-5pm in Bethesda, MD. This is my first time participating in this fair which constantly ranks in the top fine art shows in the country. My space E31 is on Elm Street.

Finally! Here's the completed mural we did in Williamsport, MD. Honestly, it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Just going up and down ladders and painting on my belly made me feel like an old man. But in the end it was worth it, and the town already seems to embrace it.
Greetings from Williamsport, Maryland. Ever heard of it? Me neither. But here I am, hired by the town to paint a huge mural on three separate walls in the centers of this historic, small, friendly town. I've brought my talented buddy, Matt Litwack from Intelligent Graffiti along to help me out. Things are going slower than we thought and today's rain didn't help but hopefully we'll finish up in the next two days.

It features over 30 local artists and craftspeople selling their work, restaurants serving food and to-go drinks (yes, it's legal again!), and live music all day long curated by my friend Dave Miller. Note that this event goes to 8pm. Come for lunch, stay for dinner.

This Saturday, September 25th from 11-7pm, I'm hosting the 5th Ave Art Stroll on 5th Ave in Park Slope, Brooklyn, between 1st and 3rd Streets. There will be about 30 artists and some of my favorite local bands playing live all day. We had a similar event back in May and it was such a success that we're doing it again.
