A beautiful “new - early” painting by the renowned American artist Mary Corse. Known for her grid paintings she developed unique techniques with the use of micro-Spheres that combine tiny refractive beads with acrylic paint. Nothing is layered, all is painted. Her works can be found in permanent collections of the most prestigious museums and private collections globally. This rare example from the 1980s remained in the same collection for almost 30 years and was originally acquired at the Chac Mool Gallery in Los Angeles.

“Gray is The New Black.”
A vague viewpoint, a blend of black and white, and the borderline of black and white... The
works of this exhibition began after gaining a different perspective of the world. Growing up, I
focused on clear-cut issues such as ‘light and darkness,’ ‘positive/plus(+) and negative/minus(-).’
I had always been reluctant to acknowledge the color gray, but later in life, I realized I had al-
ways harbored a desire for this blurred, hazy color. These artworks have taught me to accept the
existence of a certain middle ground.
The exhibition is a series of self-portraits depicting the various expressions from thoughts of cer-
tain acquaintances. The works are comprised of complex descriptions inspired by recollections,
behaviors, language, smells, etc. Through the timely process of repeating techniques such as
scratching, overlaying, and oil painting, I have gained a deeper understanding of people around
me. Each artwork has brought me closer to its motif.
By working on the series, previous obscure perceptions have been transformed into a genuine
appreciation for my surroundings.
By carefully observing different aspects, my connection to each motif has strengthened. At the
same time, the whole process has also led to some very valuable introspection.

Considered the most important and famous mural globally “The Last Supper” (Italian: Il Cenacolo [il tʃeˈnaːkolo] or L’Ultima Cena [ˈlultima ˈtʃeːna]) is a painting by the Italian polymath of the High Renaissance Leonardo da Vinci, dated to c. 1495–1498, housed in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy.
The painting represents the scene of the Last Supper of Jesus with the Twelve Apostles, as it is told in the Gospel of John, the moment after Jesus announces that one of his apostles will betray him. The work has been heavily analyzed and numerous codes and symbols have been found by the likes of and Mario dal Bello such as the sacred trilogy, Mary Magdalene to Jesus’ right and even relationships to the Egyptian pyramids where scholars suggests da Vinci had lived for a period of approximately three years. The same is said about Alexander Great, Napoleon anddd 🥁Jesus.

Deciphering paintings of old masters is exciting as it inspires artists of this day and age to work deeper, paint pieces of greater meaning and channel the deep messages and secrets of our universe that lie within (which in return shall survive the test of time).
