The New York Hall of Science is a science museum located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens, in the section of the park that is in Corona. It occupies one of the few remaining structures from the 1964 New York World's Fair and is New York City's only hands-on science and technology center.

Check out what's screening in our 3D Theatre when you visit the Hall of Science! We are currently screening three films each day:

1) Our newest film: "T. REX!" - NYSCI is the only place in NYC to watch this dynamic new film!

The film covers new territory while delivering on the quintessential promises of a cinematic dinosaur experience - with the celebrity status of this popular, prehistoric giant.

2) "Incredible Predators," which deconstructs the world of major predators as never before, taking an intimate look at the remarkable strategies they use to succeed through advanced filming techniques expose the planet’s top predators in extraordinary footage.

3) "Jane Goodall: Reasons for Hope" - an uplifting journey around the globe to highlight good news stories that will inspire people to make a difference in the world around them, featuring scientist-activist icon Jane Goodall.

SciSkate Opens Friday, November 29th with "Cool As Ice" Activities!

We are so excited that SciSkate is almost here again! Our popular, indoor Glice Rink will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through February and will include new activities around the rink.

A particularly delicious activity will let you watch a scientific process AND taste its effects: Alkemy Ice Cream will transform liquid nitrogen, fresh cream, and sugar into ice cream right before your eyes. Alkemy will also debut their newest flavors: Vanilla Vortex, Cookie Butter, and Peppermint White Chocolate!

You can purchase timed tickets to SciSkate on arrival next week or purchase a NSYCI Plus pass online!

On December 5th, the New York Hall of Science is proud to partner with Hydro-Québec and CHPE for a special symposium - Green Cities: A Catalyst for Sustainable Urban Development - and Food Expo! Details:

Cities are key to combating climate change. Cities host more than half of the global population, totaling 4.4 billion inhabitants, and the urban population is projected to double by 2050. Come learn about the steps being taken in New York City and how you can get involved.

This free event will take place from 5:30pm – 6:30 pm in NYSCI’S Auditorium. Learn from environmental leaders and industry professionals how Queens is the epicenter of the clean energy transition in NYC and more about NYSCI’s upcoming groundbreaking exhibition: CityWorks.

Immediately following the symposium join us for Queens International Food Expo, presented by Queens Together. The expo features unlimited food and drinks from more than 30 local restaurants. Tickets for the food expo can be purchased here: https://expo2024.queenstogether.org/

Did you know that The Great Hall is one of the few remaining buildings from the 1964-65 World’s Fair that you can walk inside? Today, the building is home to our interactive "Connected Worlds" exhibition.

"Connected Worlds" teaches visitors how ecological systems relate and depend on one another to maintain balance and health. Through virtual technology and their own movements, visitors shift and change the environment around them. Visit soon so you can marvel at the historic architecture that celebrates our place in space AND see how you can affect the balance of this special virtual world with your hands at the same time.
