Dear Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre Playwrights Unit friends;

I’m so pleased to announce that our dear friend, and alumni of over 20 years from the Raul Julia Training Unit at Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, Javier Luis, will be performing for the first time at the prestigious Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center on Saturday, September 16th, 2017

Javier has two CD’s productions…”Himno A La Mujer” and “Por Amor” on sale on Itunes, cdbaby.com, Rhapsody, Apple Music, etc as well as a few music videos on youtube.com.
He has made a career in writing, and singing in the Latin market in the genre of Salsa and Ballads. A member of A.S.C.A.P music and the owner of his own record label, “MiraMar Entertainment Inc." Javier Luis will be the first artist to ever take Salsa music to Merkin Concert Hall. Javier has spent much of his career performing in the NYC night clubs and has sold out at the famous SOB’s (Sounds of Brazil).

Javier will have two opening acts. The first act to perform is the Bombazo Dance Co. with another former alumni of the Raul Julia Training Unit at Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre Milteri Tucker who will perform Bomba y Plena de Puerto Rico. The second act to perform is the amazing vocalist, Marlene Villafane who will cover Celia Cruz as well as some other Hispanic musical icons. Anyone who is interested in purchasing tickets to see Javier Luis in concert, I give you the following information.

Allen Davis III's invaluable legacy as Founder and long-time teacher of the PRTT Playwrights Unit is being continued by Mario Golden and Andreas Robertz, who participated in and headed the Unit for several years.
