The Albanian Institute is an arts and cultural institution based in New York that supports and presents a wide range of activities in performing arts, visual arts, society, and contemporary culture.
We create a forum for cultural exchange and dialogue, a place of encounter and conversation that are about bringing art and people together.
Programs range from music to literature, film to theatre and dance, visual arts to architecture and design, in addition to performances, talks and lecture series, with collaborations across these disciplines and others, in the US and around the world.
Partnerships and collaborations are at the heart of our work, and it has been since the beginning. Our goals are ambitious. We will only achieve them in partnership.
We have worked in partnership with organizations, governments, businesses, and donors to create opportunities worldwide. We have collaborated with some of the biggest institutions and leading museums, including New Museum, Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI), Austrian Cultural Forum, Goethe-Institut, Somerset House London, Columbia University, and New York University, to name few.
We are a member of the European Union National Institute for Culture (EUNIC) - the largest EU cultural network with a worldwide presence. In addition, we have partnerships with most prominent online platforms including Artsy, and Google Cultural Institute.
