Today, very pleased that the EU Council adopted its conclusions on an EU strategic approach to international cultural relations, paving the way for a framework for action.
The Conclusions take stock of synergies between EU and its Members in international cultural relations, such as the launch of the European Houses of Culture to be implemented by EUNIC, the umbrella organization of EU national cultural institutes.
Albanian Institute, the only national cultural institution that is a member of EUNIC, will be part of this project and will continue to use the full potential of culture to strengthen our coordination and strategy on the best way to promote international cultural relations and building a more inclusive and fairer Union — that is what we have been doing since the beginning and it is at the core of our mission.
Also, the photo published by EEAS is from the Castle Gjirokastra, Albania by Blerta Kambo — a good omen :)

London Design Biennale: A glimpse of what utopia could look like

MUSEUM AS SCORE - Eighth Annual Anne d’Harnoncourt Symposium
"The Anne d’Harnoncourt Symposium: Museum as Score discusses how the perception of the museum as a static archive is upended in today’s cultural context in which durational, event-based, and experimental artworks, exhibitions, projects, and programs are on the rise. Beginning with the assessment of the historical role of the museum as a product of the Enlightenment, this symposium will consider the museum not as a timeless repository of objects, but as an open invitation to be activated through a variety of time-based activities and experiences. The symposium will place emphasis on the discussion of recent exhibitions and works by contemporary artists that have a durational or ephemeral nature as well as the intersection between museological institutions and contemporary dance."
The Albanian-born dancer and choreographer Brigel Gjoka, trained at the Tirana Ballet School, and following advanced studies at Rosella Hightower in Cannes, France, he joined the Cannes Jeune Ballet. In 2006 he became a member of the l’Opéra national du Rhin, and 2011 joined the Forsythe Company. Based in Berlin, Germany, Brigel Gjoka is a renowned contemporary teacher, international performer, and choreographer.
