This week, we're seeing history happening before our very eyes. At SASS, we've spent the last few days listening and learning how to better live up to our mission statement: presenting all the history we should know, but maybe don't yet.
Here are a few places where people are doing just that:
>> The podcast Black History in Two Minutes
>> Free Yale class!!! https://oyc.yale.edu/african-american-studies/afam-162
>> A thread of documentaries that talk about black history, the black lives matter movement and protests https://twitter.com/starkdanys/status/1267341394156285952
>> Black History on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/blackhistory/
>> The Association of Black Women Historians https://twitter.com/ABWHTruth
SASS will also be donating our past event's profits to supporting the Association of Black Women Historians, who have provided a network and recognition for women of African descent who are historians or students of history for the last 40 years.
Love to our NYC family and those elsewhere, let's keep fighting the good fight.
