9/11 Memorial

9/11 Memorial This is for anyone who lost loved ones or want to help with anything to do with the tragic attack of September 11, 2001.

Operating as usual

Thank you to everyone for remembering this day with us and we appreciate the messages and responses today. We hope everyone will get a chance to visit the memorial sometime. Be safe!

It's been 15 years since the tragic day we lost so many lives to such an evil force. Today we remember the precious lives of civilians, rescuers, the brave souls aboard those flights, and the men and women who joined the armed forces to fight back. Unfortunately no memorial will ever be enough to commemorate them or what their families endured so we do our best. September 11, 2001 was the day we Americans were brought together in spirit. We also remember the rescuers that drove in from other states, and even from around the world. Today we remember them. May we never forget. Bless you all and stay safe.

Be sure to share your photos of the memorial and the new WTC with us!

We thank everyone for the support today. Stay safe!

On this day 14 years ago, Americans all across the country united. Those responsible for the attack wanted to tear us apart. For this one day, the economy, issues of government, rivalries, racism, and many other things were put aside as we came together. Rescuers voluntarily came from surrounding states. Today remember the 2,977 lives lost in New York City, Shanksville, and Washington D.C.

Thank you to everyone who has visited us already and are posting great photos! We hope you can visit us this summer, too!

Special thanks for the cupcakes!

Sept. 12, 2001: We'll go forward from this moment - Leonard Pitts Jr. - MiamiHerald.com

Let me tell you about my people. We are a vast and quarrelsome family, a family rent by racial, social, political and class division, but a family nonetheless. We're frivolous, yes, capable of expending tremendous emotional energy on pop cultural minutiae - a singer's revealing dress, a ball team's misfortune, a cartoon mouse. We're wealthy, too, spoiled by the ready availability of trinkets and material goods, and maybe because of that, we walk through life with a certain sense of blithe entitlement. We are fundamentally decent, though - peace-loving and compassionate. We struggle to know the right thing and to do it. And we are, the overwhelming majority of us, people of faith, believers in a just and loving God. -Leonard Pitts Jr.

They pay me to provide words that help make sense of that which troubles the American soul. But in this moment of airless shock when hot tears sting disbelieving eyes, the only thing I can find to say, the only words that seem to fit, must be addressed to the unknown author of this suffering.

The 11 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that did not devastate as much as it unified Americans.

Today is my birthday and I was living and working in Manhattan on 9/11/2001. Please remember to bear witness to the attack and honor everyone who suffered that dark day.
Make this disrespectful as**at famous!! This is the p.o.s. that told a widow, a woman who lost her police husband in 9/11 that "I hope your husband rots in hell". I noticed on his page that he hides in Portland with his antifa friends. He has stated numerous times that he wants all police to die. He needs to be taken down a peg or 5.
Fellow Veterans and Patriots! On January 19th, 2018 the Premier Release of '12 Strong', a new film about the legendary horse soldiers — the first to invade Afghanistan after 9/11. ... USAF Controllers and Soldiers with the Army's 5th Special Forces Group's Operational Detachment Alpha 595 who were the first to invade Afghanistan. On Wednesday, September 14th, 2016, I sent out an email about the ceremony that was held to dedicate a statue called “De Oppresso Liber” dedicated to the U.S. troops who responded in those weeks following 9/11. The statue was moved to the newly-opened Liberty Park where it now stands guard over the attack site. the 16-foot-tall bronze statue also known as the “Horse Soldier," depicts a Special Operations soldier in Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks, and commemorates the first time US troops used horses in combat since 1942. The sculpture’s new home now watches over the Ground Zero Memorial in New York City. To view the statue and story click on http://bit.ly/2mXrFnD Respectfully, Gene E.F.
