In memory of Raquel Rabinovich, 1929 – January 5, 2025. We are deeply saddened by the passing of a gifted artist and treasured member of the ’T’ Space family.

“Since the first opening at our ‘T’ Space Gallery in Rhinebeck, Raquel attended most every opening in our fourteen-season series; she always exuded positive energy and a deep philosophical perspective. She radiated and embodied the profound confidence of an artist who trusted in the lasting impact of her work.” – Steven Holl

Raquel Rabinovich was an Argentine-born, New York artist known for her monochromatic paintings and drawings as well as for her large-scale glass sculpture environments and her site-specific stone sculpture installations along the shores of the Hudson River. Born in Buenos Aires in 1929, she has lived and worked in the United States since 1967. In the early 1990s, she moved from Manhattan to Rhinebeck, NY, where she spent the remainder of her life.

To learn more about her life and work please visit the “study room” dedicated to Rabinovich on ’s website.

“Abstraction is more than a politic. It’s more than a form in art. It’s a form that’s being weaponized. I want to operationalize abstraction not only to see more clearly what has been done to us but also to understand what kind of vision we can achieve with our power in abstracting.” – Torkwase Dyson

Congratulations to Torkwase Dyson for being featured in Bomb’s Winter 2025 issue. Follow the link in our bio to read the full conversation with curator Hamza Walker.

Her exhibition “Of Line and Memory” is on view at in Chicago until January 25.

“The work of Susan Wides is an invitation to, and a product of, close observation. These images require the artist’s deep immersion in nature, seeking the synergy between water, light, trees, and rocks. Wides engages her immediate surroundings in the woodlands of Catskill, New York. Through her daily practice of walking, she has come to know the landscape intimately, attuned to its shifts and seasonality, to the protean patterns of light changing throughout the day. Wides’ work is the result of being in nature, of total presence. There is a directness and proximity expressed in the forms and forces the artist composes.”
