On February 26, of this year, we brought a group of 15 people for a good will mission to Cuba. The name of our tour was Jewish Cuba, Then and Now. So many participants brought an incredible amount of products to help the Jewish Cubans. We met with two large Synagogues in Havana; one a Sephardic Synagogoue and the other an Askenezie. We also made a three hour trip to a small city called Cienfuegos which has a Synagogoue in someones home. It's a very poor community and her home has approximately 20 Jews worshoping the Sabath every Friday. The largest portion from of group were brought together by Cantor Doron Shapira of Penninsula Sinai Synagogue in the Bay area, and the rest of the group were New Yorkers.
We had a May trip scheduled, but due to Corona Virus we had to cancel. BUT we are scheduling a mid-November trip, so be on the lookout! The trip will be posted on our website in June.
We donated items such as diapers, Tyleynol, Advil, soaps, mortureizers, shanmpos, conditioners, ladies and men's razors, toothbrushes ,toothpaste hand wipes, make-up and the list goes on and on.
Thank you to all you generous people!
