Zainab Najeeb (Co-founder/CEO) says: “Creativity does not exist in a vacuum, and we believe that we have a moral obligation to celebrate the individuals who bring joy and color to our lives. After the success of our inaugural exhibition in October, we are very excited to launch our collections and bid farewell to 2020”.

“Emerging artists do not have many opportunities to enter the global art market and Zaaman Art aims to change that. On the other hand, we aim to inspire new art collectors by providing art for all budgets. We are proud to represent so many cultures and diverse artists in this collection, all having one thing in common: their passion for art.” – Cynia Ejaz (Co-founder/COO)

Rabia S. Akhtar is a Karachi based visual artist and writer. She received her Bachelors in Fine Arts (BFA) from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in 2015, majoring in traditional miniature painting. Within her practice, Rabia cross-examines the psychics, nostalgic conditions around human-animal relationships. Bizarre universes are constructed, where zoomorphic beings and otherworldly beasts negotiate within an uneasy, symbolic coexistence.
Rabia has showcased her work locally and internationally at spaces including the Ministry for Gozo (Malta) and the Czong Institute of Contemporary Art Museum (South Korea). In 2018, she was selected to participate in the Valletta 2018 artist residency in Gozo, Malta, where her collaborative work was recognized as one of the ten strongest projects of the program, and was displayed in a group show at Spazju Kreattiv, the national centre for creativity in Valletta (Malta). In January 2020, she was selected for Locating Word, a residency for art writers by Vasl Artists’ Association. In February 2020, she was selected as the Art Writer in Residence for Taaza Tareen 12, a residency by Vasl Artists’ Association. Rabia has also written a children’s book which will be published through Oxford University Press, Pakistan, later in 2020. She has also produced content for various platforms including ArtNow Pakistan and the Karachi Biennale Trust.

Haya Zaidi is a visual artist based in Karachi. Her delicate work combines mix media and collage with miniature painting on a single plastic based surface. Zaidi’s work revolves around her personal experiences while navigating the world within the vessel of a brown female body and explores subjects around race, gender, identity and sexuality within the contemporary sub-continental culture. Zaidi is keen on dissolving the boundary between two dimensional and three dimensional art.
