STEPHEN DIRADO: BELL POND
Coming to KAPOW on September 4
This exhibition is deeply personal and meaningful to me. Stephen DiRado has been my friend and mentor for 40 years. I was one of five students in the first class he taught, at Clark University. I became an art dealer in part because of him. Looking back over the years, Bell Pond is where it all began. Stephen magically captured his subjects’ souls, drawing out their most open, honest and vulnerable expressions. It became the defining moment in his life’s work of building community and relationships through photos.
I’ve waited nearly four decades to do this show. I’ll let the work speak for itself.
