The Famine Remembrance Park (Irish: Páirc Chuimhneacháin An Ghorta), also known as Bully's Acre, is a memorial site in Cleaghmore, Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland, functioning as the unmarked burial ground for victims of the Great Irish Famine who perished in the Ballinasloe Workhouse between 1845 and 1852, as well as in subsequent years.

Landscaped in the 1990s and formally dedicated in 1997 by the Ballinasloe Historical Society and Ballinasloe Urban Council, the park honors the famine dead through engineered landscaping by Gerry Cleary and sculptural elements including a dedication monument by John O’Connor and an urn monument by Helen Comerford.

Inscriptions on the monuments evoke remembrance, such as "Lest we forget / An Ghorta Mór / 1845 – 1848 / May they rest in peace / all who lie buried here" on the memorial monument and "In memoriam / in memory / i gcuimhneas" on the urn.

Bus Trip to the Irish Famine Memorial Unveiling Sunday September 20 - $20 per person (Please make checks payable to Gaeli American Club).

This memorial honors Irish Famine immigrants buried on Staten Island. It commemorates 6,000+ men, women, and children from the Great Famine era who died after arriving through the Marine Hospital Quarantine Station in St. George.

Bus Pickup 9:30am at GAC - Bus departs at 10am Sharp.

Dedication Ceremony 2pm - The Unveiling of the Permanent Famine Memorial, 26 Central Ave, St. George, Staten Island, NY.

Dinner 4:30 pm - Jodi’s Club Forest 372 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10301. (Price for dinner not included in the $20 bus fee).

In 1847, ordinary people with almost nothing to spare gave £1, £2, or £5 to help their neighbors survive the Great Hunger. That spirit lives on in the 1847 Fund, supporting Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum and preserving this history for future generations.
