Bob Griffis Minerals - Fluorite from Blackdene Mine, Weardale, County Durham, England, United Kingdom
A flattened tabular Fluorite from a classic English locality.
This lustrous pale-purple Fluorite cube is flattened and displays bands of stronger violet zoning which is at an angle to the crystal faces. This Fluorite is strongly fluorescent. The specimen is more transparent than the photographs show. It is quite unusual, and is in very good condition.
