Our family-friendly ghost tours blend eerie legends, rich history, and playful storytelling. It all started with a passion for the paranormal and a love for history. Betty Davis, a
fearless and dedicated paranormal investigator, along with her partner Melanie Davis,
formed the Big Bend Ghost Trackers. The expertise of these seasoned professionals
led them to appear on major television networks lik
e the History Channel and the
Discovery Channel, sharing their thrilling findings with a captivated audience. But Betty had a vision to bring the ghostly wonders of her own backyard to life. She saw
Monticello, Florida as a spectral playground ripe with stories waiting to be told. And so,
she established the original Historic Monticello Ghost Tours. For over two decades, she
and Melanie, lead countless visitors through the shadowy streets and historic buildings
of Monticello. Each tour was more than just a walk; it was an immersive journey into
chilling tales, personal anecdotes from her own investigations, and the electrifying
possibility of a ghostly encounter. When Betty Davis retired, the ghostly mantle was passed to Schuyler. Schuyler wasn't just a successor; she was a new force of nature, bringing her own
unique talents and extensive background to the Historic Monticello Ghost Tours. With a
new team, Linda took the tours to the next level, infusing them with her rich expertise as
a performing storyteller and a renowned cemetery historian. She had already developed
tours for New York's famed Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, and she brought that same level
of historical depth and dramatic flair to Monticello. Linda elevated the tours by adding
captivating storytelling performances at the local chamber of commerce building. With Schuyler's her new team—Agatha, Ophelia, Michael and Bam—the tours saw exciting
expansions. They were able to extend the popular cemetery tour, adding a most
engaging theatrical and interactive spiritual dimension, she and Michael often
partnering together. And added two exclusive new stops: The Palmer House and the
Old Jail. These additions allowed visitors to delve even deeper into Monticello's storied,
and sometimes spooky, past. Schuyler's passion for meticulous research and her gift for
performance ensured that the tours continued to be a thrilling and unforgettable
experience for all who dared to join. Following Schuyler's incredible contributions, the Historic Monticello Ghost
Tours are now under the vibrant direction of Agatha, a dynamic paranormal investigator
and Sensitive. Agatha has embraced the tour's rich legacy and is now leading the
charge, bringing her own unique perspective and skills to this fascinating exploration of
the paranormal. In partnership with the Monticello-Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, Agatha is bringing
fresh energy and a renewed sense of purpose to the tours, ensuring they continue to
attract and fascinate visitors from all over the South and beyond.
