Ann Marie Batiste LLC My passion began by taking a single art class in high school at age 16. My paintings come from life experiences, human injustice, pain, and joy.

Blessed with artistic talent by the one above, GOD, I've created 1200+ portraits in India ink, graphite, oil, watercolor, acrylic, and gouache. While I have been practicing for 43 years, I still have so much more to learn. The past 8 years I offered my art and classes to a local audience and now I'm taking the leap into the online world of selling art, hoping to reach across the nation, eventually

"Friends of the Hurley Public Library" invited me to teach a painting class this morning. The youth had lots of freedom to create and were confident in each brushstroke! Had a glorious morning painting in oils today.

If you see me dancing thats why!!!

I am working on the shading and reflections! This takes me three or four times over and over until I am satisfied. I am 65% finished so I have a ways to go!

This particular piece will be entered in the Range Arts Association Art Show towards the end of the third week of August.

Continuing on my oil painting today. Deeper shadows and highlights so the image is more detailed and pleasing to the eye!

Have to love oil painting and how you have to have precautions to protect your lungs and brain. Oil is serious! Painting at home today!

Youth have no fear in the good way, they trust the process and absolutely have the confidence when given the chance to create on their own! Thank you to Amy Schimke for organizing all of this.
