The renovated McCleary Hotel, with owners Lorena and Matthew Maurer, recently teamed up with Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their newly expanded outdoor event spaces. Over 30 friends, family and supporters were on hand for the celebration and a healthy light lunch.

The McCleary Museum and Event Center will be closed from August 9th until September 15th so that we can complete maintenance and improvement projects. Our August meeting will be held at the McCleary Community Center.

Today is the day! Many museums across the state are participating in Washington Museum Day today. In Celebration of America's 250th, come join the fun and learn about your community for Free Museum Day at the McCleary Museum from noon to 4PM.

Grays Harbor County museums participating in Museum Day

If you’ve been meaning to visit one of Grays Harbor County’s museums this summer but haven’t, make plans to do it this Saturday, Aug. 8 is Museum Day with many museums around Washington state offering free or reduced entrance fees. Local museums that are participating this year are the Museum of the North Beach, The Music Project, Lake Quinault Museum, Chehalis Valley Museum, Running Anvil Carriage House, History98520, McCleary Museum & Event Center and Westport Aquarium.
