FUNDRAISER!!

The New Straitsville History Group is now taking orders for our new fundraiser T-shirts!

These attractive shirts are available in Heather Red and feature the New Straitsville History Group logo on the front. The back showcases a beautiful collage of scenic photographs from New Straitsville.

Shirt Details
• Color: Heather Red (a softer red, not a true or cherry red)
• Sizes: Youth XS to Adult 4X.
• Price: $20.00 per shirt

Shipping
• Shipping is available for an additional $10.00 for up to two shirts.

How to Order
• You may place your order using our Venmo or PayPal links below, or contact Betty Forester in town if you would prefer to pay with cash.

• Because shirts are produced on an order-by-order basis, you will be notified when your shirts are ready.

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

The History Group is so proud and excited to extend an invitation to everyone to join us for the unveiling of our Christopher Evans Historic Marker!

When: May 23, 2026, 2:00pm.

Where: Dunkle Hall, New Straitsville, Ohio.

We would especially love for any coal miners (past or present) and/or their families to join us.

We will have a short program and then unveil the new marker.

Below is our membership/fund raising letter and form. As you will read in the letter, the past year has held many significant challenges for the History Group. Issues at the trailer and at the museum (Dunkle Hall) have become huge problems and need funding to handle.

Our yearly donation/membership drive barely give us enough money to pay the insurance bill and keep the lights on and the doors open. We are pursuing grants and other funding but this is difficult.

Even if you are already a member or a lifetime member, please consider donating today. Every little bit helps us save and preserve New Straitsville history.
