The intern position on Mackinac Island will be responsible for inventorying, cataloging and other general collections work. Duties may also include organization and cataloging of historic photograph or archival collections material and assisting in conservation treatments and research. Based on the individual’s interests and skills, the intern will also have opportunities to participate in work with artifacts, costumed interpretation or visitor evaluation. May also have other duties as assigned. This position receives free housing on Mackinac Island.

This position is responsible for training and supervising the overall duties of the Guest Service Representatives (GSR). The head GSR supervisor reports directly to the Sales Manager, and works closely with the lead supervisors and alternate lead supervisors. They will provide guidelines and leadership to ensure policies and procedures are followed.

The Head GSR Supervisor will also assist with scheduling and daily financial reports along with the overall performance of day to day business at all Mackinac State Historic Parks (MSHP) locations.
