Wayne County Historians have really got it together this year! Thanks to Deb Hall of Wayne County Historical Society and the WHO organization.The last of the Brewing Conflicts events to celebrate our semi-quincentennial or 250th event was a success! Led by Deb and Chris Blomgren of Historic Pursuits, the First United Presbyterian Church in Sodus was the site of this last discussion. Historic Pursuits offered outfits for people to wear while serving up coffee, tea and hot chocolate! What a wonderful way to get a history lesson about the discussions that took place in our country over 250 years ago.

Get ready for an afternoon of history, humor, lively conversation, and a little brewing controversy!

Join us as we celebrate 250 years of America with a fascinating and fun look back at the coffeehouses of colonial America—where colonists gathered, debated, shared ideas, and sometimes stirred up quite a bit of trouble!

Through historical characters, trivia, conversation, and local history, guests will explore the brewing conflicts of the era and discover the early popularity of tea, coffee, and hot cocoa. And yes… everyone will be asked to “choose a side!”
