Louisville celebrated its 125th anniversary in 1959 from August 22nd to August 29th. It was named the Centi-Silverama and was a weeklong event featuring parades, pageants, games, parties, and fireworks. You can view the schedule online in the August 20, 1959 edition of The Herald, and find out more about the events in the August 27, 1959 edition of The Herald.
