Darrel Couturier is leading a trip to visit Havana and the XIII Bienal as well Trinidad. The trip includes entry to Bienal exhibitions, studio visits to meet with several of the top contemporary Cuban artists in their studios and visits to architectural landmarks in Havana. We’ll spend 5 days in Havana and 2 days in Trinidad, Cuba’s unique colonial city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Congratulations to Rody Lopez for curating one of the best ceramic exhibitions I’ve seen in a very long time. “Living With Clay,” Lopez’s Masters thesis exhibition at Cal State Fullerton, presents ceramic works from five private collections installed to resemble the environment in which they reside in each home. It’s a masterful installation and I urge anyone with interest in ceramics to go see it. [Begovich Gallery, Cal State Fullerton, thru Nov. 17] @ California State University, Fullerton
