On October 10, we came together to celebrate a very special milestone: LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes’ 15th anniversary!

What a wonderful evening filled with joy, memories, and community! ❤️

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, supported LA Plaza through their generous donations.

Here are some of our favorite moments from the evening, including the presentation of the Pobladores Awards to Belissa Escobedo and Senator María Elena Durazo, and the Gloria Molina Champion Award to Lupe de la Cruz III. We can’t wait to share more highlights with you in the coming days!

What happens when young Angelenos turn their personal experiences and connections from their communities into art? Join us for a youth-led conversation with students ages 15–18 who participated in the Smithsonian’s LA Youth 250 program as they share their creative journeys and the stories and perspectives that inspired their work.

Since July, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, the Chinese American Museum,LA Commonss, and Kizuna brought together students for six in-depth sessions exploring civic engagement through conversations with guest facilitators and visits to cultural organizations.
