The Laurel County Solid Waste Department, in cooperation with the state Division of Waste Management, will sponsor waste tire collection days on May 14-16 to allow Kentucky residents a chance to dispose of waste tires at no charge. The collection will take place at the county garage on Substation Street.

This is a popular event in the county which we only get so often through the state. The last one was in 2023 when more than 40,000 used, abandoned tires were removed from the community during the collection days. For questions, please contact the Solid Waste Coordinator at 606-878-6845.
