Just now getting around to posting Riley’s NLHS graduation party pictures. I didn’t get many pictures of her or her guest because I was barely hanging on. Between my last baby graduating and my sister on a ventilator I was just hangin on by prayers. Through God’s grace we pulled off a party to celebrate Riley and we look forward to her future. ❤️🙏

I never got the chance to post Riley’s graduation pictures and her last few days of high school. The day of her graduation was the day my sister was intubated. God works in mysterious ways. Lana had stent placement on May 20th and had about 3 days of better breathing until the stent was dislodged on May 23rd on graduation day. She already had her graduation card for Riley. 🥲❤️Lana had her plans but God had other plans. We tried to put on our happy face and celebrate Riley because that’s exactly what she would have wanted. Forgive me if I have been in autopilot since this day. Not being able to protect Riley from circumstances totally out of our control was a life lesson she will never forget. Trying to stay strong when the life you know is totally falling apart. I know God will build my children’s faith in ways only He can. Even when we don’t understand His timing. We are all so proud of Riley and pray blessings over her life. The memory of Lana’s love will stay with us now through eternity.❤️🙏

There’s something so special about growing up together and still living out our days here together. I pray I don’t take it for granted ever.
It’s hit me hard this year with how fast life passes by. Watching your babies grow up and losing people you love has that effect.
But my husband has seen so many different versions of me. The little girl who chased him down to be my bf. The carefree girl being fun and fancy free. The young woman excited and scared to grow up and start a career.
The overwhelmed mother. The woman finding her faith. Through the births and the deaths of those I hold so dear.
To the exhausted woman who picked up her life and pivoted when necessary. He has seen the tears, the heart breaks, the doubts, the mistakes and the growth.
And through it all he never stopped loving me. And we never stopped choosing each other.
What a gift it is to be known this deeply.
It is a blessing to be together this long.
Through Gods grace I pray we can have many more anniversaries. ❤️❤️

My love for music was shaped by my sisters influence in my life. Having a sister 11 years older then me made it so much fun to grow up in the 80’s. The soundtrack of my life was shaped by the best music and I can thank my sister for introducing me to the best! To honor that tradition she wanted to me to make a silk version of the lead singer of INXS Michael Hutchence casket spray. She wanted silk so I could not stress and spend more time with our family. Always thinking of others.
So it’s a “poor girls” replica of the rich and famous casket spray. But I think it was a perfect tribute to the music we shared. Blue Iris and 2 yellow lilies to represent our babies, Madeline Janae, Rikey Nicole. She always sung “You are my sunshine” to the girls .
Madeline made her a needlepoint with the Lyrics in blue and yellow. We had graveside services and the weather was perfect. She was honored by lots of love. I Thank My God for every remembrance of you. Philippians 1:3

You were my childhood, my memories, my laughter, my very first best friend. She’s been my encourager, my safe place, my biggest supporter. She was a precious sister and an even better aunt to my girls. No matter how much time passes, I will always feel her absence in my life. Some bonds are eternal.
