Loudoun Sampler Guild

Loudoun Sampler Guild The Loudoun Sampler Guild is a group of sampler enthusiasts based in northern Virginia. We meet monthly for lectures, needlework classes and workshops.

The Loudoun Sampler Guild was founded in 1996. The mission of the Loudoun Sampler Guild is to foster excellence in the practice of the art of sampler-making through an active program of education and study, and to preserve the heritage of sampler-making. We currently have about 120 members, primarily from Virginia, Maryland and D.C. The Loudoun Sampler Guild meets on the second Saturday of each mo

nth. Our usual meeting location is Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 605 West Market Street in Leesburg, Virginia. Field trips to see sampler and needlework collections have included:
•Colonial Williamsburg
•Maryland Historical Society
•Winterthur Museum
•Morven Museum (Princeton, NJ)
•Baltimore Museum of Art

We encourage anyone in the area who is interested in samplers to join us. Our members range from needlework teachers and expert stitchers to beginner stitchers to non-stitchers who simply like seeing and learning about samplers. For information on membership, attending a meeting, directions or anything else, please send us a message.
