This time, I came prepared.

I made an olive run, packed up the supplies, and headed somewhere the Olive Quest hasn't been beforeโ€ฆ

A while back, I had the opportunity to spend some time exploring Liverpool with Mayor Lowell Matheny, who took me around town and shared some of its history, stories, and memories.

A big thank you to Gregory Norman for inviting me out to Liverpool in the first place, and to Mayor Matheny for taking the time to show me around.

But Walk a Dog Wednesday was never really just about taking a dog for a walk.

Places like the SPCA of Brazoria County depend on people showing up to adopt, foster, volunteer, donate, or sometimes just give a dog an hour outside of a kennel.

I've made a few calls, and it looks like we may have a pretty good place to get together before dark.

I'm picturing something simple... get together, talk about the history and folklore, and most importantly, hear the stories of people who grew up going out looking for Bailey's Light.
