Please join us in congratulating the UCHS Baseball team on winning the FHSAA Rural Baseball State Championship!
What an unbelievable season for these players and coaches. Their hard work, dedication, perseverance, and teamwork paid off in the biggest way, and they represented Union County with pride every step of the journey.
We are so proud of our players, coaches, families, and everyone who supported this championship run.
Come help us welcome our STATE CHAMPIONS home today around 1:00 PM as they return to Union County. Let’s line the streets, make some noise, and celebrate this historic achievement together!

Your 2026 Rural Baseball Champions are the Union County Fightin' Tigers!

The Final: UC 10, Trenton 9 in an eight-inning classic at Hammond Stadium. And the Fightin' Tigers win their first title since 2012.

Fast forward to the seventh inning. Trenton was one out away from winning, but Union County showcased its resilience, plating three runs to tie it at 9 and forcing extras.

In the bottom of the 8th, The Fightin' Tigers loaded the bases, and a sacrifice fly by Kendall Carter gave senior Wesley Crockett a chance, and slides headfirst to a state title.
