This one just found its way to a new collector and I couldn’t be happier. The buyer fell in love with it when she first walked into the gallery and that kind of reaction is what it’s all about. I titled this one “Far From The Hickory Wind” and I created it using oil, acrylic & pastel on a 36x48” canvas. It’s still on display at Western Exposure Fine Art through the end of July for the group show “Howdy Y’all”. They’re having a First Friday event this Friday so for anyone that didn’t get a chance to swing by in June, come on through! 🤘

“Flourish” | 24x30” | Oil and acrylic on canvas
Swipe for details to see the texture on this one. I wanted to balance a gritty, expressive contemporary Western portrait against a bright, flat floral pattern. The combination of heavy oils and graphic acrylics really makes the figure pop.

“Nearer To Thee” is ready for its debut this evening for the opening of “Howdy Y’all” at This type of painting is probably my favorite way to create. The looseness, expression and fun imagery throughout is what I love most about the painting process. 36x36in. Swipe for more details! If interested in acquiring please send me a DM!

I finished this painting for April’s opening at but it sold (👍) before it could be displayed. This one is titled “A Pale Light In The Blue” and was made with oil & acrylic on 30x40” canvas. This painting was an exploration of space and composition which was my take on modernizing a classical composition with an expressive twist. I am grateful for the new collector who purchased this piece and another new one that I haven’t shown yet.
