Winter break is finally here and it’s perfect weather for ice skating at the Kernersville Museum! Check out some of the fun that we have been having over the last several weeks!
We are open this evening from 5:30-7:30 and on Saturday and Sunday from 3:30-7:30.
Skating is only $5 for 30 minutes and that includes skate rental. We hope to see you at the rink this weekend!
The Kernersville Museum’s Ice Skating Rink will be opening on Thursday, December 1st! The hours for each week of December are listed below. We hope that you will come out to skate and enjoy the festive atmosphere of Downtown Kernersville at Christmas time! We also hope that you will help us to thank our generous sponsors for helping to make this opportunity a reality for our community!

Isn’t it sad that we live in a world where we can’t even make something nice for our community to enjoy without some people messing it up? We worked very hard to create a beautiful space for EVERYONE to enjoy, but that can’t happen when people feel entitled to do whatever they want. But that’s ok! We have cameras ALL OVER and we have some great videos of folks doing some not so great things.

Ice Rink will be open Tuesday Nov 30, from 4-6 pm. We will close at 6 for a private party.
Attention Photographers (or even family “friends” with a great camera), we know we have created a beautiful backdrop for photography. HOWEVER:
1. We have a photography policy in place at the Kernersville Museum. It is available on our website and it is in your best interest to make sure you have read our policy.
2. It is ALWAYS best to call ahead. We have lots of events planned and if we have anything going on, you will be asked to leave.
3. FINALLY: NO ONE has permission to MOVE anything on our premises. This week we have heard “it’s only a temporary decoration” and “it’s only a sign”, along with several other “excuses” for moving things around. Volunteers and staff have worked incredibly hard to make the village look the way it does. Donors have the right to have their signage out and it should NOT be moved. Not even moved and “moved right back”. It’s a HARD NO on moving ANYTHING for your pictures. Especially if you have failed to call ahead and clear your photo session with the staff. You will be asked to leave immediately if we see it.
The village is for everyone to enjoy and we love that people want to make pictures here, but the rules we have in place protect our ARTIFACTS, and our donors and our decorations.
The Hometown Christmas Village presented by Pierce Jefferson Funeral Services is officially OPEN! Come and enjoy our beautiful village, skate under the lights ($5 to skate and that includes your skate rental), check out our Candyland Cottage and don’t forget to add your wish to our Wish Tree. Last skate starts at 7:30! Rink opens tomorrow at noon and will be open until 8:00 pm!

Don't forget! The ice rink will have extended hours today, Dec 22nd and tomorrow, Dec 23rd ⛸️ Come by and skate from 12pm to 7pm! The rink will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
