36x36 stretched canvas . Available.
This is a big piece collage made with paper cuts , no paint.

Elephants are killed for ivory and land. Around 20,000 African elephants were killed in 2016 just for their tusks.
Elephants can destroy Small farm lands which lead to retaliation by farmers and then hunting and elimination of elephants.
In Indonesia, dozens of elephants are poisoned by palm oil growers each year.
Unregulated domestic markets in China, Japan, Myanmar and Vietnam allow freshly killed ivory to join legal stock on the shelves, fuelling the poaching crisis.
How can we help:

1. Obviously, don’t buy ivory.
2. Buy elephant-friendly coffee and wood.
3. Support conservation efforts.
4. Be aware of the plight of captive elephants and tourist elephant farms. Practice responsible tourism.
5.Adopt an elephant.
6. Donate to causes and organizations and share your support in social media.
Organizations that help elephants rely entirely on donations to keep doing what they’re doing. Money donated is used to help fund anti-poaching teams, provide vet care to injured elephants, educate local communities about the importance of wildlife and spread the message through advertising, marketing and events.

We need bats. They are not human food.
See the making of this piece in the sequence of pictures.

Bats consume vast amounts of insects, including some of the most damaging agricultural pests. Others pollinate many valuable plants, ensuring the production of fruits that support local economies, as well as diverse animal populations. Fruit-eating bats in the tropics disperse seeds that are critical to restoring cleared or damaged rainforests. Even bat droppings (called guano) are valuable as a rich natural fertilizer.

Sadly, many bat species around the world are vulnerable or endangered due to factors ranging from loss and fragmentation of habitat, diminished food supply, destruction of roosts, disease, hunting and killing.

This piece is available.
“Gardeners of the Rainforest”
It’s a 20x20 on stretched canvas. Made from paper magazines cut outs only. No paint.

Why would you want to eat this guy?
Almost every species of lemur is at risk of extinction, making it the world’s most endangered primate, scientists have warned.
The destruction of their tropical forest habitat in Madagascar, caused by illegal tree logging, charcoal production and mining, is the chief cause.
Lemurs are also being hunted by humans for restaurant food. Others are captured for pet trade.

INSECTICIDES AND HERBICIDES:
Over the last year, American beekeepers reported losing about 41% of their honeybee colonies. Farmers depend on bees for pollinating their crops
Food production relies directly on bees.
No bees, no food.
Scientists point to several causes behind the problem, including global warming, habitat loss, parasites and a class of bee-killing insecticides known as neonicotinoids (or neonics).

The use of weed-resistant material and herbicides is continuing to ruin the original habitat of monarch butterflies.
The use of such harmful chemicals led to the destruction of milkweed plants, the only plant on which the Monarch caterpillars feed on.

Because of melting sea ice, it is likely that more polar bears will soon starve. The ongoing potential loss of their sea ice habitat resulting from climate change decreases their food source.

I’m about to finish the Polar Bears. What do you think I should work on next?
It has to be an endangered species.

Did you know?, Poachers are now using social media to obtain information on locations of rhinos in popular tourist attractions searching for photographs posted online by unsuspecting tourists then using GPS coordinates to find and kill them.

The northern white rhino is critically endangered to the point that only two of these rhinos remain in the world, both in captivity and with 24 hour armed surveillance.
