I want to take a moment to talk about a big loss in our family. My uncle Keithy passed away due to complications from COVID-19. I have a lot of great memories from my childhood of my Dad and uncle keithy playing tricks on people and telling the craziest tall tales. He was always smiling and laughing. If you see this post please share a good memory of him. Especially if you grew up with him. Share photos too if you have them. Keithy was a loving devoted Father who loved wood working, hunting, fishing and metal detecting. I have recent memories of seeing his posts in the metal detecting group that I invited him too about a year ago. He would always post photos of his findings. I'm really going to miss seeing his posts.

In an effort to keep myself busy while my Kizzie is in the hospital, I did some research on some of the houses that the Johnson side lived in. These houses are not known to most of us. That being said, they are STILL the houses that built us. They belonged to grandpa Johnson's Parents and Grandparents. But surprisingly, they are houses that we have drove or walked past, never knowing that we would not be here if it weren't for a small piece of history in these houses. We might not have memories of family dinners there, first steps, first kisses on the front porches or tearful goodbyes, but our Grandfather/Grandmother and Great Grandfather/Great Grandmother were the one's to experience these memories. It was their time! Their Present, not knowing that we were their future! I think that's an incredibly powerful thought.

This is a photo dump of just my Dad's side of the family. I felt so much happiness when I was looking through these photos. I miss this... And I know I'm not the only one. I miss the excitement I would feel as a kid when it was Friday afternoon and we would go to Mcdonalds(only day of the week we ate out) and after that, we would go to Grandma and grandpa's house. The memories I have from those weekends are some of my most prized childhood memories. I could type them all out now, but this post would never end! Please tag yourselves and share some memories!!!

I recently inherited several family photos that belonged to my Mom(Theresa O'Neal) and Dad(Charles Johnson). I thought I should share them with everyone on this blog since you all and they all, are leaves of my family tree. If you aren't related, I will adopt you. (: This particular group of photos are carefully placed in an ugly green photo album that I remember flipping through when I was a kid, wondering who some of the face were. Now, as an adult, I know who most of these people are and it means so much more to me. As a child, I remember thinking these faces were known as friends to my parents. Now I realize that these people are the same people that I have been constantly researching, trying to get a glimpse of what their lives were like. Maybe these albums are part of why I research my family tree so much. This particular post includes photos of my Mom's side. If you see yourself, please comment below. Some of the photos that I will be posting are unknown to me but I bet some of you know them. Please give feedback if possible. Thank you.
