The officers for IAHS are looking forward to the Historical Center being open to visitors and donations very soon!!
With that we needed to have some guidelines for accepting donations at the Historical Center. Below they are listed.
the IAHS officers have compiled a list of guidelines for donations should someone have items they want to hand off to the Historical Society. They are meant to work for an easy transition from the giver to us receiving the items.
1. Do NOT leave any donations with the City Hall or Library employees. VERY Important!
2. Donation can only be delivered to the Historical Center located in basement of Independence City Hall
3. Donation will be accepted when the Historical Center is "OPEN"!
4. An IAHS member needs to review what you have. Some items may not be accepted.
5. A donation form will need to be completed. Any history of item(s) would be appreciated.
6. Contact information is on Facebook and our brochures located at the Independence businesses.
Please communicate to family and friends these guideline for a smooth transition from the donor to the Historical Center.
These guidelines are subject to change should the officers of IAHS see fit to do so.
