Just a heads-up: The Kids Depot will be closed on September 17th, 18th, and 19th. Head south to Belton Historical Railroad on Saturday the 19th for the kids to ride a real train. 🚂👧

Our worst kept secret is officially official!

Nearly 3 years ago Boardmembers discussed the potential of hosting a railroad community event and we're finally making it happen. Join us for food trucks, touch-a-truck, model trains, kids crafts, petting goats, wooden train sets, a plaque ceremony, and of course, train rides.

West Pacific Ave is closed between the railroad tracks and the entrance to the museum and the Chicago & Alton Depot. Both museums are currently open their normal days and times. To access the museums, please approach from the east via either Osage or Liberty Streets or Noland Road leading to Pacific Ave. If coming from the north, use Walnut Street or Truman Road to reach Osage, then head south to Pacific Ave.

West Pacific Avenue has some detours, but the historic sites are still open. Several historic attractions along and near Pacific Avenue remain open and accessible while the City works toward repairs to the roadway including the Bingham Waggoner, the Chicago & Alton Depot, and the Missouri Model Railroad Museum.

This is a complex repair, and because of the area impacted, City engineers must coordinate with Union Pacific and receive railroad approval before construction can begin. We're continuing to work through that process and will share updates as the project moves forward. In the meantime, please check directly with the historic site you're planning to visit for current hours, parking and the best way to access the property.
