Meet Aramis Pugh, a local tattoo artist at W.G.F. Industries whose work has left a mark on the community for decades. While many know him for his incredible skill with ink, Gallery Explosé will showcase another side of his creativity.

This year, Aramis will be exhibiting his digital artwork and oil paintings for the first time, giving visitors a chance to experience the breadth of his artistic vision beyond the tattoo studio.

Incredibly talented, endlessly humble, and always focused on his craft, Aramis is one of those artists whose work speaks for itself. We’re honored to have him as part of this year’s lineup and can’t wait for you to see what he’s bringing to the gallery.

Join us Thursday, August 6, from 5:00 to 10:00 PM at the Downtown Event Center in Idaho Falls during Art Walk. Admission is free, with live music beginning at 8:00 PM.

Meet another of the talented local artists joining us at Gallery Explosé, Melissa K. Hillman.

Melissa creates beautiful botanical illustrations inspired by the Dutch floral painters of the 18th century. Her work blends careful observation with timeless elegance, celebrating the intricate beauty of flowers and plants in a way that feels both classic and fresh.

You may have seen her artwork at last year’s South Fork Fest or at one of the many local art fairs she’s participated in. Now you’ll have another chance to experience her work in person at Gallery Explosé.

Join us for a free night of live music at Gallery Explosé this Thursday, August 6!

Once you’ve explored an incredible collection of local artists during the Idaho Falls Art Walk, stick around as the gallery transforms into a live music venue.

Hot Pursuit opens the night with their infectious funk grooves, followed by Loot, bringing an energetic blend of hip hop, soul, and live instrumentation.

Music starts at 8:00 PM at the Downtown Event Center. Admission is completely free, so invite your friends and make a night of it.

Meet Cory Kerr, a professor at BYU–Idaho, illustrator, and creator of the web comic Rage of Enlightenment. His work combines intricate ink illustration with sharp storytelling, creating images that reward a closer look.

Whether he’s building the world of his comic (https://corykerr.com/comic) or crafting detailed standalone illustrations, Cory’s work is thoughtful, imaginative, and unmistakably his own. If you’re drawn to bold line work, intricate details, and art with something to say, you’ll want to spend some time with his pieces.

We’re excited to welcome Cory to Gallery Explosé for the first time this year. Stop by, say hello, and see his work in person on August 6 at the Downtown Event Center during the Idaho Falls Art Walk.

Meet another incredible artist joining us at Gallery Explosé, Donella!

Many people in our community know Donella for her incredible voice, but music is only one part of her creativity. This year she will be sharing her visual art with us, featuring beautiful handcrafted wind chimes and a collection of linocut prints.

It’s always exciting to see artists express themselves through different mediums, and Donella’s work is a great reminder that creativity doesn’t have to stay in one lane.

Come experience her work, meet the artist, and discover another side of her talent on August 6 at the Downtown Event Center from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Admission is free.

Artist Spotlight!

We’re thrilled to welcome back Mike Cherniske, our biggest-selling artist from last year’s Gallery Explosé!

Mike returns with another multimedia extravaganza that blurs the line between illustration and fine art, sculpture and painting. His work is imaginative, immersive, and always full of unexpected details that reward a closer look.

Beyond being an incredibly talented artist, Mike is one of those people who never stops pushing his craft. He’s constantly experimenting, evolving, and finding new ways to connect with viewers on a deeper level through his art.

And if you’ve ever met Mike, you know he’s just an all-around great guy and an absolute joy to talk with. Be sure to stop by, see what he’s created this year, and say hello.

The art doesn’t stop when Art Walk ends.

After you’ve spent the evening exploring Idaho Falls’ incredible galleries, head over to the Downtown Event Center and keep the night going with live music at Gallery Explosé.

8:00 PM – Hot Pursuit brings the funk with infectious grooves that are guaranteed to get you moving.

9:00 PM – Loot closes out the night with a high-energy hip-hop performance.

Explore original artwork from talented local artists, enjoy two outstanding live performances, and experience an evening where visual art and music come together.

Best of all, admission is completely free.

Art Walk may end at 8:00, but the celebration is just getting started. Bring your friends, stop by the Downtown Event Center, and cap off the evening with great music and local art.
