Great to see Mikara Anderson featured! The joy we feel is still as big as it was that night!
Huntingdon County Fair Queen Mikara Anderson, of Three Springs, Pennsylvania, was crowned the 2019 Pennsylvania fair queen on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the annual joint convention of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs and Pennsylvania State Showmen’s Association.

It's been a blast so far, and, yes, we've been so busy we're not keeping up with posting!
Queen Mikara Anderson represents us well in her public introduction at the Fair Convention!
It's that time of the year when we join our family and friends from across the state in Hershey to share and learn alike to bring you a better fair each year!
Welcome to the 2019 opening ceremony! Enjoy the keynote address by Sam Glenn.
Our gals do a great job, don't they?! :D
This evening, Mikara Anderson had the opportunity to speak to her own 4-H club, Southern Pride 4-H, about farm safety. Thank you for having her as a guest speaker!
Looks like a great ride! Glad to see our track getting some love. :) Our team puts a lot of work into maintaining a great place to pull!

We sure are proud of the old girl! At one time, our fair office, then the home of our brand-new farm museum, and now the stately stalwart is our Art Station! (Thank you AltoonaWorks for the highlight and Huntingdon County Arts Council for keeping her neat and pretty and welcoming to thousands of fairgoers each summer!)
8/2018 - The Art Depot at the Huntingdon County Fairgrounds is a former Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain RR yard office. It was moved about a half mile from the H&BT yard to the fairgrounds c. 1983.

It is with Great Sadness...
Nice reflections from our Secretary Russell Redding on the importance of programs like the Pennsylvania Dairy Princess and Promotion Services, Inc., and another shoutout for our own Huntingdon County Dairy Promotion gal Brooke Amanda Emery!
Our youth leadership programs have a tremendously transformative power. Whether those are blue corduroy jackets or crowns and sashes, the results are abundantly clear: youth with a greater understanding of our industry, a more powerful voice in advocating for agriculture, and a set of skills directly transferable to whatever life brings their way.
Thank you to the outgoing PA Dairy Princess and Promotion Services, Inc. team: Yvonne Longenecker of Blair County, Gretchen Little of Centre County, and Casandra Blickley of Chester County. It’s always exciting to see that transformation take place in the course of our ambassadors’ terms of service, and this team was no different.
Saturday night, I met three young ladies whose paths I will cross many times in coming months – your 2018-19 PA State Dairy Royalty Team. PA Dairy Princess Brooke Emery of Huntingdon County, and her alternates Samantha Haag of Berks County and Kara Stultz of Blair County, will be excellent ambassadors of the dairy and larger agriculture industry over the coming years, and continue that service well after they’ve retired their crowns and sashes. My congratulations go to them for securing those titles through a combination of industry knowledge, poise, and communications skills, all of which will only improve as they begin their reign. May this be a memorable and successful year.
How exciting to have another fine young lady from our fair royalty team achieve something spectacular! Congratulations Brooke Amanda Emery -- our entire county is proud of what you've accomplished, and we wish you the best in your coming year!

Huntingdon County Dairy Promotion
Last night at the Huntingdon County Fair during Dairy Fun Night, the money was counted for Pie A Princess. We raised over $150 in just our jars alone! Then we had an auction to see who got to pie the princess in the face! The auctioneer announced that Dairy Princess Brooke Amanda Emery was the one being pied. The bids started flying and the winning bid was $400!! All of this money will go to the campaign Fill A Glass With Hope!
Well, friends: stick a fork in it -- the 2018 Huntingdon County Fair is DONE! Thank you for your part in its success.
And while many of us are going to take it easy and recover from a week of partying, others still have a job to do. Our thoughts and prayers for safety as folks like Penn Valley Shows tear down tonight and head for the Dayton Fair and others prep for the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair. It's a long night for them, as well as folks like Pennsylvania Holstein Association exhibitors from across the state who wrapped up their district show here late this evening.
BTW: Mark your calendars for our next fair, August 4-10, 2019!
And in case you were wondering, only 357 days to #HCF2019! 🎊😃🎉
