The SCCHS maintains the restored Octagon House Museum with Victorian-era furnishings. The complex includes the Garden House with its 19th century life and the Carriage House with Gift Shop & Research Center.

We are in the process of planning for the Hudson History 8th Grade Tour to occur on Friday, May 31st. Part of the tour includes activities which require crayons, preferably with papers no longer on. So, if you happen to have a pile of old crayons, please bring and donate them to the Octagon House Museum.

The Octagon House Museum will be exploring "Prohibition: Temperance or Speakeasy" as our 2019 theme. We will be sharing a story of how Prohibition was experienced locally in Hudson and other communities of St. Croix County.
During Prohibition, which took effect 93 years ago this week, many doctors boosted their practices by doling out medicinal alcohol.
