All, the Historical Society is in the process of re-designing the kitchen area so that it can become a functional area for our records. There is a VERY gently used gas stove/oven that needs to find a home within the next day or 2. We would love for it to make its way to a home where breads would be baked and warm stews could be made. Please drop me a note if you can help us out. Thank you!

IF THIS HOUSE COULD TALK is a Historical Society Event - Audio Tour of Historic Homes!

If This House Could Talk has begun! Signs are up near 17 of our historic homes. What to do? This is an Audio Tour...the way we have designed it is: You use our Pamphlet with the directions and map. You drive the route following our map, stopping at the STOP HERE signs. You point your smartphone -while in your car -to the QR Code displayed on the House Sign (you might have to scroll it larger). Tap on the link that appears and hit Play at the Audio Tour for each house. If this is challenging, you can just read the text attached to the map at each stop. Or, you can use our link and listen from the comfort of your couch without even getting in your car. Where to get the Pamphlets? At the Home Run Derby, Town Hall and Library when they are open this week, at the Museum when it's open, or download from the Events page at hamptonfalls300.com or here:

On May 3, 2003, the White Mountains lost its "Old Man". It's been nearly 20 years since his rock face fell and his legacy continues to live on. We all have our memories of family road trips as kids, and the annual visit to the Old Man of the Mountain. We would love to see your photos and memories of this White Mountains icon.

Hello! I acquired this beautiful real photo postcard, and I am wondering if you may have any information to share on it. I am guessing, from the details in the photo and the postcard markings on the back , that it was taken 1925 to 1930, at the latest. The gas sign says "That Good Gulf Gas."
Any interest?
