Sometimes we spend so much time trying to make everyone like what we create...

But the truth is, your art isn’t meant for everyone.

It’s meant for the people who light up when they see it.

You don’t have to make yourself smaller to fit into someone else’s idea of normal. Be enthusiastic about the things you love. Talk about your books. Make the weird art. Wear the ridiculous earrings. Collect the strange little things. The right people aren’t going to think you’re too much. They’re going to think, ‘Oh my god, me too.”
