https://rhondakingenfineart.etsy.com Hi, I’m Rhonda Kingen, an award-winning nature photographer based in Greenville, SC., a charming city nestled in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. For nearly a decade, my lens has been my storyteller, capturing wonder in both grand vistas and delicate details, expressing my unwave

ring love for the art found in nature. My fine art collection honors the sacred stillness found in creation - moments that invite the soul to pause and breathe. From a radiant sunrise over the Canadian Rockies, to an intimate botanical garden in the Old South, or a mist-filled valley within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, each image reflects quiet reverence for the divine beauty around us. I am honored that my photography has been recognized in both local and national competitions and featured in publications such as Smoky Mountain Living, WNC Magazine, and Outdoor Photographer. One of my award-winning images, The Color of Summer, reflects my deep connection to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina - a place that continually inspires my work. This image received the Peoples Choice Award in the 19th Annual Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition, was exhibited at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts in Boone, North Carolina and purchased by a private collector. It is now a top selling puzzle sold exclusively through the Mast General Store at 11 locations throughout the Southeast, US and on line. For me, outdoor photography is far more than a craft—it is a calling to live in harmony with nature. I am drawn to its quiet, soulful presence, which invites me to slow down, truly see, and feel the heartbeat of a moment as it unfolds. In that sacred pause, I seek to capture serene landscapes that reveal quiet wonder and extraordinary beauty—images that gently invite viewers to step into the same sense of stillness, awe, and deep connection with the natural world that I experience. One of my favorite quotes, by Maya Angelou, perfectly encapsulates my philosophy on both life and nature photography: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." My goal is to help people bring the calming beauty of these moments into their hearts and homes through the museum-quality fine art prints that I offer. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Each photograph in my collection is a genuine invitation - to pause, to breathe, and to find a piece of your own story reflected in the stillness of nature's beauty. I hope you discover an image that gently lifts your spirit into the breathtaking landscapes I've been blessed to witness, letting you feel their stillness, their strength, and the quiet magic that lingers long after the moment has passed. Bringing warmth from my heart to yours - Welcome to Rhonda Kingen Fine Art Photography.

Some places feel like an exhale, and this was one of them. ā€œMountains in Bloomā€ portrays an intimate moment captured in the Blue Ridge Mountains where rolling green hills unfold beneath a moody twilight sky, while clusters of pink rhododendron in the foreground offer a gentle counterpoint to the deep forest tones. I wanted to convey that brief pause between day and night — a quiet moment for reflection.

If you’ve been waiting for a daily reminder to slow down and breathe, I captured this image with that intention in mind. DM me to discuss prints and finishes that suit your room or tap the link in my bio to visit my Etsy store and bring a little mountain calm into your home or office.

In my image titled "Ruins," I wanted to capture the serene dance between history and nature. The weathered bricks of the Old Sheldon Church in Beaufort, SC, and resilient southern oaks tell a story of endurance and beauty. Each archway invites you to pause and reflect on the whispers of the past.

I'm thrilled to share that this piece was recently purchased from my Etsy shop! How does this blend of architecture and charming landscapes of the old south speak to you? šŸŒæšŸ›ļø

I’m delighted to share Mystic Skies Over the Smokies, a moment that took my breath away when I captured this beautiful scene in the Smoky Mountain National Park.

As I reminisce about the evening that led to this image, I recall my journey driving through the winding mountain roads near Gatlinburg, TN. The anticipation grew as I made my way to the iconic Morton Overlook, known for its enchanting sunsets.

When I arrived, smoky blue clouds still lingered in the sky, gentle remnants of a passing storm. While the sun dipped below the horizon, light filtered through the heavy clouds, creating a quiet, mesmerizing glow. The pastel tones danced delicately with the deep shadows, creating a captivating depth that pulls you into the very heart of the scene.

I stood there soaking it all in, overcome with peace, humility, and awe, one of those rare moments when time slows and your spirit feels fully at rest. This is why I’m drawn to nature photography. Being in these sacred landscapes invites me to listen, to be present, and to witness the quiet beauty that so often goes unnoticed.

Through my lens, I seek to preserve not just what I see, but what I feel-stillness, wonder, and a profound connection to something far greater than myself.

Now available as a fine art print for luxury wall art, designed to elevate home interiors, offices, and thoughtfully curated spaces.

There’s a special kind of peace that settles over the Smoky Mountains in winter - when the sky wraps the peaks in soft blues and rosy greys. The air feels crisp and still, and the quiet stretches for miles across the valleys.

Without the bustle of summer, the landscape invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply take in the gentle beauty all around. It’s a time when the mountains seem to pause and rest, offering a sense of calm that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Although I haven’t visited the Smokies this winter, I wanted to share a serene scene I captured from a past season, a moment that still lives as a cherished memory. I hope this image brings a bit of that peaceful, awe-inspiring energy to your day. Feel free to share. šŸ™‚

For the New Year, I’d like to share a short, uplifting story with you. I hope it resonates. Here it is…

Life unfolds like a book, and with each new year, we turn another page, leaving some chapters behind while stepping into new ones. Along the way, we experience a wide range of emotions: joy, inspiration, reflection, gratitude and even moments of sadness. Every page holds a lesson, introducing new ideas and perspectives that shape the story. The mystery of what lies ahead is what makes the journey so meaningful.

Like the natural rhythms of life on Earth, our own stories are woven through time. Every experience, challenge, and victory adds depth and color to the story we’re creating. There’s no need to rush through the pages; each moment carries a message worth noticing.

As we welcome a new year, let’s remember that we are the authors of our own lives. Let inner peace be a central theme, and let the best version of ourselves shine through in how we treat others. When we do, our individual stories connect and enrich the greater story we all share.

So embrace the journey ahead with gratitude and openness. You are creating a true bestseller—one shaped by your unique experiences and voice. On this New Year’s Day, my wish for you is simple: live honestly, laugh freely, and love deeply. May 2026 usher in joy, growth, and fulfillment. Happy New Year, friends! šŸŽ‰āœØ

Can you believe another year has come to an end! It really is true… the older we get the faster time slips by. I felt called to share a message of inspiration. Most of you may or may not know that I have a passion for spending time in nature capturing beautiful and fleeting moments but 2025 presented challenges for me to pursue that passion. Instead, it became a sacred chapter of healing for me.

Undergoing two surgeries ushered me into a season of uncertainty—moments where the unknown tempted me to lean into fear, especially since I had gone through 3 other surgeries in the previous 2 years. Yet I was reminded by a soft internal voice, again and again, that fear is not divine. God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

In the the stillness of recovery, when my time in nature and behind the lens was limited, His presence never wavered. Though I wasn’t capturing His beauty through my photography as often, He was quietly capturing my heart, meeting me in the hushed moments, strengthening me day by day. As I step toward 2026, I do so with gratitude and hope, trusting that this next year will be one of renewal, restoration, and fresh beginnings.

We are never promised tomorrow. So don’t wait for the ā€œsomedayā€ that may never come. Take the trip! Say yes to what stirs your soul. Do the things that make you feel alive and deeply grateful for this gift of life. Live fully and choose what brings you peace, meaning, and happiness today and every day.

Here are a few of my favorite moments witnessing God’s presence in nature from the past few years and looking forward to getting back out there in 2026! Feel free to share if this inspired you. God Bless. ā¤ļø

Through the gentle caress of the breeze and the majestic beauty of the mountains, nature provides us a sacred space to connect with the divine. Open your heart and let the tranquility lead you to a spiritual awakening. I’m grateful for this moment I experienced exploring the backcountry of the Canadian Rockies and the closeness I felt to God, our Creator.šŸ˜ā£ā£ā£

What a memorable sunrise and photography adventure in the Canadian Rockies. I captured this image of Bow Lake in Banff National Park during the blue hour at sunrise—a fleeting moment of harmony between night and day, shadow and light, land and water. It reflects the calm before the world awakens, with nature in its most untouched state, offering a quiet promise of a new day. Enjoy the view! šŸ˜
