Every spare minute these past couple of weeks, I’ve been pouring my heart into a mural project at Stoneybrook Foundation, and it’s truly one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever worked on. The people there, the mission, the riders, the horses… everyone I’ve met has been so kind and full of heart. It’s impossible not to feel inspired in a place like that.

We’re getting ready to unveil the mural at Stoneybrook’s Night at the Races on 4/25, and I’m so excited for people to finally see it. If you’re able, please come out to support this wonderful organization and the incredible work they do.

I’m sharing a few behind‑the‑scenes photos from the past couple of weeks — the early mornings, the painting sessions, the teamwork, and even one of me mid‑brushstroke. These moments capture the joy and the heart behind the project just as much as the finished mural will.

And the first photo? I took it on my drive in today. The light, the horses, the quiet countryside… it felt like Stoneybrook itself — full of hope, healing, and wild hearts.

April 15 is more than just tax day. It’s World Art Day, Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday, and also National American Sign Language Day! 🎉

It’s a day filled with creativity, curiosity, and the many ways we express ourselves. I wrote a short reflection on my blog about slowing down, noticing the small things, and celebrating the quiet details that make art feel alive.

Wildheart Portraits was the beginning — a place where I learned how art can hold stories, honor relationships, and bring people together. Over time, my work has grown into illustration, writing, and community projects, including a new mural that has already filled my heart in ways I didn’t expect.

As the work has grown, the name needed to grow too.

So Wildheart Portraits is becoming Wildheart Pen & Studio. It will be a home for art, stories, and the small wild moments that make life beautiful. Thank you for being part of this journey and for walking with me into this next chapter.

Easter always reminds me that renewal is woven into the world, in the woods waking up, in the stories we tell, and in the grace we’re given even when we wander. I know not everyone here shares the same beliefs, but this season pulls me back to what matters most: love, faith in all its forms, and the quiet acts of charity that keep us connected.
